About artist: Martina Furlong was born in Co.Wexford, Ireland where she now resides after many years living in London, UK. She received a BA (Hons) in Fine Art Painting from Limerick School of Art and Design in 1996.
Speaking about her work, Martina states “I paint from the inside out using the meditative power of painting to create a lyrical interplay of lines, shapes, textures and colours to express my ideas”.
Martina’s paintings are influenced by the things she sees and experiences daily, most notably landscape and the human-nature connection. She combines reality with memories, imagination and intuition to create her vibrant abstract landscapes.
